The Air Seeder Parts Gauge Wheel Arm features major changes to the OEM gauge wheel arm, designed to distribute the grease around the entire shaft and to make disk blade replacement easier.

The OEM gauge wheel arm is notorious for early replacement, due mainly to seizing onto the cast opener arm. Upon investigation, the seizing was caused by inadequate grease coverage. The OEM features a flat notch machined on one side of the shaft, which limits the grease to only that area, causing premature wear and replacement.

Another issue with OEM gauge wheel arms: their design causes inconvenience when it comes to replacing disk blades. Disk blades are a regular replacement item, and the job can be time-consuming due to the design of the tab. Because of the shape of the OEMs tab, the disk blade is difficult to remove, adding hours to the job.

The Air Seeder Parts Gauge Wheel Arm features two spiral grease grooves that have been

machined into the shaft to ensure that grease is fully distributed 360 degrees around the shaft. The added grease coverage reduces premature wear and replacement.

To make our Gauge Wheel Arm even more user-friendly, the tab that the gauge wheel attaches to has been tapered to make changing disk blades faster and easier.
